When Do I Need A 24 Hour Plumber

When it comes to taking care of our homes, plumbers usually come in handy. Leave alone the ordinary plumbers who set working hours that are convenient to them. There are 24 hour plumbers whose main objective is to help their clients anytime they have a problem in their homes. If you have ever experienced mishaps with your pipes during odd hours, then you know how important it is to have a plumber that you can count on at any time of the day or night.

It happens when you least expect it
The most challenging with our home and office piping systems is that they happen at the most inopportune time. For instance, it could happen when you are having a good sleep at night, while you are at work or even out of town. Most are the times when pipe mishaps catch us off-guard. This explains why having in contact with a 24 hour plumber is of utmost importance. Emergencies associated with plumbing should be addressed immediately because failure to do could result in severe damage to the interior of a home as well as to its structural integrity. This is yet another reason why round the clock plumbers should be considered a must have.

If you have ever spent the whole night waiting for your regular daytime plumber to address pipe problems, then the importance of having a 24 hour plumber cannot be over emphasized. This is the kind of person who will come to your rescue whenever you call him or her. You will require this type of plumber when you do not want to be charged more for calling someone in the middle of the night or during off work hours to resolve whatever emergency plumbing issues you might be having. Majority of plumbers who work only during the day, the common 8 hours will charge you more when you call them to your home or commercial building during unorthodox times. On the other hand, round the clock plumbers will charge the same amount whether you call them at 3a.m or noon.

Even if you are not dealing with an emergency plumbing issue,24 hour plumbers are extremely important. For instance, if you are always working during the day and you require a plumber to do the normal repairs and maintenance under your supervision, you can call a 24 hour plumber when you get off work such as late in the evening or even at night. This way, you can supervise the work being done on your pipes and point out where you want specific plumbing work done.

Hot Water System Installation Tips

It’s Monday morning. You're getting ready to jump into the shower so you can get ready for work, when you turn the handle for "Hot," and nothing happens - your hot water system has gone out, and as usual, at the least opportune time. So, instead of cleaning yours out from time to time you expect to just chug along and magically make hot water forever. Unfortunately, for many reasons such as rust and corrosion, they give out and need to be replaced. The easiest way to do this is to have someone come and replace it, but if for whatever reason you can't do that, this will serve as your tutorial for doing it yourself. If you give this a good reading, as well as four to six hours, you can be up and running with hot water again.
1. Pick a hot water heater. There are probably several places close to you where you can buy another hot water heater. That's not a problem. What you need to do to make this as easy as possible, however, is to pick the same type of fuel that you are already using, whether gas or electric. For the purpose of this tutorial, that is what we will assume. It's usually not a problem to move up to a slightly bigger water heater if you so desire. The only thing keeping you from this is the amount of clearance between the water heater and the wall behind it. If you have the room for a bigger one, get it if you want to.
2. Check the plumbing. Now you are ready to install your water heater, but before you do that you will need to make sure the connection dimensions are the same. Otherwise, you will need to make adjustments to the connections to make them fit. Hopefully the plumber who did your installation did the job right, saving you a lot of extra work.
Now for a word of caution: When you move your water heater from where it is and bring in the new one, you will probably need help. Water heaters are very heavy, and trying to wrestle one by yourself is foolhardy. Get some help and save yourself some doctor bills.
3. Shut off the utilities. Begin by turning off the water at the main or at the water heater. Next, you need to turn off the fuel source. If you have an electric water heater, either remove the fuse or turn off the breaker. If you have a gas water heater, turn it off at the main or at the tank. Next, drain the tank.
4. Remove and replace the water heater. You should use a level to make sure it it set up properly.
5. Install the fittings, connect the fuel sources, turn on the water, and let it go.
You have replaced your hot water heater.
Before you declare the job done, make sure you know the laws regarding installation, since some states have safety requirements. These include, for example, California, which requires earthquake fasteners around water heaters.

Web Design & SEO

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and web design must go hand in hand. Nowadays, many web designers are incorporating SEO in the web design process. However, many companies do not understand the importance of the role SEO plays in their clients website design, and ignore the value SEO can bring to the website while in the design stages.
It is easier to get traffic to a site if it has an SEO friendly web design. Many technologies exist make a site look "cool" but are not search engine friendly. If your website design uses these technologies, then you may either be blocking or slowing down a search engine such as Google when it tries to access the content on your website. If a search engine cannot quickly and easily access content on your website, you run the risk of lower search results. Incorporating SEO best practices in your web design goes well beyond just content and back linking. SEO web design must incorporate the right technology decisions, site architecture, navigation and more. This is where SEO can play a critical role in your website design.
The content of the page is also a very important aspect you need to consider for SEO. Prior to the commencement of the web design, the web designer should get an understanding of what the website is all about. Once the design company has determined this, they can make a list of keywords that users might search for to get information that is there on the website. Placing the right amount of keywords on the page will help the page rank better with the search engines. IT is important to add keywords to the content while the web page is being created, as it will save money and time in the long run. You will not have to go back to an already created web page and make changes to the content for SEO reasons.
One element of off-site optimization is about link development. The links from other websites pointing to your website play an important role in increasing the search engine ranking of the page. Consider that neither link building nor search friendly content will be of much use if your web design is not SEO friendly.
Many experts will tell you that SEO is as important to creating a website as the design itself. If the website is designed keeping SEO in mind, then the website has a greater chance to start ranking from the time of its existence and will attract visitors from search engines.

Below is a list of some of the common colours and what type of psychological emotion they invoke on people:

RED is associated with love, passion, danger, warning, excitement, food, impulse, action, adventure.

BLUE is associated with trustworthiness, success, seriousness, calmness, power, professionalism.

Leaking Taps Tips

Leaking taps are common occurrences in many homes. Having skills on how to fix leaking taps is a major boost especially when the plumber or plumbing services are not available during the time of need. There are several causes of leaking taps. The good thing is that with the right steps these problems are simple to fix. Upon discovery of a leaking tap, the first thing you should do is find the relevant tools. Most tools are usually kept away from the children. This means that you may have to go to the precise location where they are kept.

The second step is to identify the source of the leak. Identifying the source of the leak helps you to establish steps of fixing the tap. In most instances, washers cause tap leaks. Taps have three washers that you can easily replace when they start to leak. These washers include the o-ring, the jumper valve and the body washer. If the washers are causing the leaks, then it is recommended that they be replaced. Washers come in standard sizes. To avoid disappointments, take the washer to be replaced to the nearest hardware store or a specialized plumbing store in order to get the right measurements.

After securing the washer, the next step is to replace it. During this process turn off the main water supply. Open the tap and release the water that is left in the pipe. Place the plugs in a basin in order to avoid losing any parts of the tap. Gradually remove the tap cover using a screwdriver. Taps have different screw positions, for instance, there are taps that have screws positioned on their sides. Unscrew to remove the handle. Using a spanner or wrench, unscrew the tap bonnet. By removing this gear, you are able to see the three washers. During this process, the jumper valve falls out. Replace these washers and then refit the bonnet making sure that you have tightened all the nuts. At this point, reassemble the tap, open the water and check if the leak has ceased.

There are instances where the leak continues even after replacing the washers. In such cases, the tap needs to be reseated. The process of reseating resurfaces the tap so that the washers obtain the tightest seal. You can easily do this by purchasing a reseating kit. The good thing about this kit is that it comes with an entire set of washers and seals that are used to reseat the tap.

ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF WEB DESIGN

Businesses are becoming more concerned by their rankings on search engines such as Google. With most consumers conducting research online before making a purchase, this is understandable. However, achieving a 1st spot on Google means nothing in some cases unless you have the right web design.

Usually, a company’s website is the first experience the firm has with a potential client. Being found online and making a big first impression is of utmost importance!

6 Essential Elements Web Design Elements

1. High quality copy writing
Great quality copy sells. It will be worth whatever investment you make.

2.  Professional web design
Contrary to what some people believe, having a website that is different from everything else on the Internet is not the best plan for most businesses. There is no need for Flash pushing images and scrolling text across your page whilst making little beeping noises every time you hover over buttons.
Your potential clients will have one question:
Is this a professional looking website (yes or no) and therefore is the company professional and trust worthy?

Yes your site should be completely unique and it should have a professional web design, because you never get a 2ndchance to make that first impression, but when designing it with your web professional, think about what your customers want from your website and design it accordingly.

3. Blogging
The single most effective thing you can do online for your business is to write a blog post frequently. A lot of companies can’t afford the expense of having one of their staff write a post each day/week, but there are plenty of companies who offer this as a service for clients.

4. An email subscription database
With Mailchimp you can send 12000 emails to 2000 per month for free. This email list is a real asset to your business and will result in bottom line dollars.

6. Google Analytics
No website should be built without Google Analytics as a minimum. Google Analytics is a free tool, it’s awesome, and it’s user-friendly, and what it comes down to is this: if you don’t know what your visitors are doing on your website then you have no idea of the volume of traffic you’re receiving and where they are coming from.
You won’t know how many people visit and then contact you, or how many people are looking at your site on mobile devices, or where they located geographically around Australia. Having intelligence about who, where, what, when and how of your website is critical to decision making and return on investment.

First Impressions Count In Web Design

The first impression of a web page can be formed in a very brief moment. Researchers have proved that a web user forms their first impression of your web site in as little as 50 milliseconds. A person can make judgments about a web designs visual attractiveness within the blink of an eye. Going by the rule of “halo effect”, where a person’s perception about one trait can lead to similar perceptions about another, and as they say, “first impression is the last impression” the first impression founded of a website can lead to subsequent judgments about the authenticity, usability, credibility which in turn will certainly effect their purchasing decisions. A better first impression can be made by creating n attractive, fast loading and visually appealing website.

The Halo Effect
The “halo effect” refers to the generic assumption of a particular trait based on another particular trait. As an example, a wealthy person may be considered intelligent and successful in life. Cognitive thoughts lead to the speed at which website users form value judgments about a website. The precognitive reaction is a physiological reaction caused by what is visible on the computer screen. Thus, carrying this first impression forward to conclude about other traits of a particular product is known as the Halo Effect. Users ignore all evidence and give more importance to their initial feelings.

Emotion and Cognition
Halo Effect proves the definite relationship that exists between our emotional reaction to a website and our conscious thought process. Purchase decisions involve cognitive judgments and also emotional judgments even for a rational consumer.

Photographs verses Sketches
Photographs have much worse recognition compared to sketches. Sketches are easily identifiable. A professional web design company will use relaxing visuals, awesome graphics and easy navigation to have business organizations hold an edge over their competition by increasing onsite conversion rates.

The article points out that users can make conclusions about your website in as little as 50 milliseconds. If a user gets a poor first impression of your website, they are very likely to disapprove it even if you offer better products, services or usability. You only get one opportunity to make a good first impression and you have to make the most of it .
